Spring, Water, GoPro

Spring is around the corner.

Spring = water = GoPro. Math, plain and simple, even if the symbols don't make sense.

Last Sunday was godly on this side of Washington state. It had to be in the low 70s with only a few clouds in the sky.

A couple of months back I bought an Oru Kayak, and I’ve been feeling guilty for not taking it out during the winter very much (I did a couple of times, to the detriment of risking hypothermia if I had capsized…I don’t have a drysuit).

I spent the afternoon paddling from Magnuson in Seattle all the way to Juanita Bay in Kirkland, basically just to be able to say hi to my bro, Adam and the crew - Amy and Beau.

I blasted Gustavo Certati on my waterproof speaker the entire time with views of Mt. Rainier, the Olympics, and the Cascades. Shitty afternoon, I know.

Obviously not shot on GoPro. Sony a6500, Canon 70-200 f2 l. This lens has ridiculous color and contrast output...it's like Lightroom is built into it.

A couple of days before that, I got a 3rd party pet mount to put on Denali, which I know will continue to get some really cool pics as time goes by. He’s absolutely terrified of water, so I have to relish in the moments that he accepts its existence.

I mounted him with a Hero 5 and let him go…maybe I’ll start showing him the when he runs away from the bathtub again…
